I don't think it will succeed for the exact same reasons that the JooJoo failed so miserably: the OS. I just don't think that they have the resources (nor the design sense) to create a usable, enjoyable OS for the average consumer.

I think the grid 10 will succeed where the joojoo failed, but it won't a be a successful device at all. It was really irritating to me how Rathakrishnan talked crap about android, how it was an iphone clone, and then he said they based grid os on android. What a freaking hypocrite.

I give them an "A" for effort, but I don't see how they will compete in the market with this device. The UI seems over-engineered and complicated. Rathakrishnan kept talking about how Android has not really differentiated itself from Apple, creating a space for innovation with Grid OS. I think he fails to realize that the reason Android and iOS are similar is because it is a style of UI best suited for touch devices. The Grid OS seemed disorganized, cluttered and complex on the 10" device; I can't even imagine what it would be like on the 4" phone. If Windows 7 and Web OS are having such a difficult time breaking into the market, I don't see how Grid OS stands a chance.

I had a look at a couple videos taken by Laptop Magazine, and I think the UI looks good. Will have to see what it is like in person, but from the videos, the UI has my attention. It is something different and unique. Which is sadly missing from any other Android based device right now.

Will it succeed, I doubt it. While the device itself has potential, it won't do well in the market. Let's face it, it is an iPad market with Android playing second fiddle.

It has a nice UI. Not sure what else will be good or bad about it.
