Will not turn on

My wireless keyboard was working perfectly until today when I changed the batteries. A little plastic disk fell out of the keyboard. I put it back in and then put the batteries in. Didn't work. Tried without the plasitc disk. Didn't work. Tried with the plastic disk put in backwards. Didn't work.

I went to Apple Support discussions. discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1797139...

I tried the tin foil, I tried the steel wool. Didn't work.

Does anyone have any other ideas?!?

Have you tried keeping your finger in the button and resetting it?

Peace of CRAP ! Maybe I am spoiled but I have never had an Apple product fail on me. Grrrr...

I am getting the wired version of the keyboard to replace this Bluetooth version.

Yeah mine did this exact same thing yesterday (without the disc falling out). I changed the batteries and now it wont turn back on... I tried the same things you did, the tin foil, cleaning the contacts with alcohol. Nothing is working. I think it might be a manufacturer defect. I have an appointment with an apple store in a couple of days so hopefully they can shed some light on this growing issue. I will post back afterwards.
