If you can wait...Verizon has said that all other blackberry's after the Tour will have WIFI. That means that the Storm 2 will most likely come with WIFI, but i agree it is a disgrace and the blame goes on Verizon not rim

Really? I'm surprised at that. This looks like a great piece of hardware. I was thinking of switching from verizon just to get an iphone, but this kind of captured my eye (along with some reliability reports I read www.pcworld.com/zoom?id=167391&page=1&zoom...). Wifi is one of the main necessities however, especially with the bandwidth caps that they are so graciously shoving down our throats. Now, should i wait til the next iteration, or suffer without wifi?

I really don't see a huge need for Wifi in a phone anymore, 3G speeds are getting to a point where the phone wont really render web pages any faster on Wifi compared to 3G. The only real use i can see for Wifi is for streaming video...

No WiFi is so 2006. It is just plan crazy not to have it at this point.

Well I'm glad I didn't hold out for the Tour and when with a Pre instead. I still can't believe both are the same cost on Sprint with the upgrade rebate. I did want the Tour, loved my Curve.

BB makes a good phone, regardless of wifi or not, though.

WiFi..what for?
People always complain that the Verizon BB's come lacking the wifi but it makes no difference to me.
You already pay for unlimited data...what is the wifi for?

Yeah this is getting ridiculous. Every smartphone has to have wifi for it to be considered top of the line. This just makes it seem like a budget phone.

Not a big deal. I have both a Blackberry Tour on Verizon and an iPhone 3Gs. I use the WiFi on the iPhone for YouTube, iTunes and the App Store. There nothing on the Blackberry That requires that much bandwidth. Yet.

What year is this? 3g may be quick, but wifi is still way faster and uses less battery.
