On both my jailbroken iPhone 4 (iOS 4.1) and my iPhone 3GS (stock / non-jailbroken iOS 4.1), I've noticed that a Skype process seems to constantly run in the background. On my iPhone 4, if I kill Skype via SB Settings process tool, it comes right back.
On the iPhone 3GS, if I use the AppSwitch utility in the App Store, I can see that some sort of Skype process is still running in the background, even after rebooting the phone.
Has anyone else seen this behavior before? What the heck is going on?
Question about
Why does Skype run seemingly non-stop in the background on iOS 4?
I don't know what the SB process tool is but have you tried killing it by removing it from your recent app list? ( www.tuaw.com/2010/06/30/iphone-101-quitting-apps-i... )
btw, I think they want skype to act that way so it can receive calls when not in focus.
