Why can't I "Send to Google+" from Google Reader?

But I can send to Facebook. Or to Instapaper. But Not Google+.

With the imminent change coming to Reader I imagine it will become integrated into the service.

For the time being you can trying using a service like IFTTT. It uses "recipes" to perform tasks associated with different online services. I just checked and someone did make a recipe that shares instantly to Google+ from reader. www.ifttt.com
