Question about
White iPod Touch or Kindle Fire???
I currently have a Verizon iPhone 4 and a Verizon iPad 2. I have just received a gift card for $100 off a white iPod touch or Kindle Fire from Amazon.com because i signed up for Audible.com for 12 months. I'm wondering on which one I should spend my money. They both cost the same, and I'm leaning towards the fire, but I keep thinking about how invested I am into the apple ecosystem. Any recommendations???

If you've got the iPhone 4, there's nothing different between it and the iPod touch outside of the whole phone thing. I'd go for the Fire, as it might be an interesting change from the iPad.

Since you already have a iPhone 4, I think the iPod Touch is sort of redundant other than possibly a larger capacity (were you thinking of the 32GB iPod Touch?). Also, the rear camera is the same as the iPad 2.
I think that the Fire is better value (bang for the buck). Plus, you can start getting the free apps of the day from Amazon for it. It is currently a little rough around the edges right now but hopefully Amazon will improve the software.
At $100 net cost for the Fire, I would recommend it over the iPod Touch even in the current state of the software.

The Kindle Fire is alright for ebooks and light work. If you want to be really productive, then the iPod Touch is your choice, since you can download hundreds of thousands of free or paid apps.
