Question about
Which MacBook should I get?
I am going to get a MacBook and I am confused if I should get the MacBook Pro or the MacBook Air. For both the models, I am going to go for the base variant which is the same price. The performance is almost the same. But I am worried about the storage. I want to have my apps on the MacBook. I can have all my media files in a Hard Drive which is no problem. I am also buying one to learn XCode. Would the MacBook Air 128GB be adequate or should I go for the MacBook Pro? Also, it does not have expandability. So how future proof would it be?

If you're planning to use this at home and not as a primary computing device, I would recommend a mac mini to save money. Otherwise, the Macbook Air is great for travel. If you're thinking about the 11" air, my concerns are with the smaller keyboard and screen size which would be more difficult to code on. The 13" macbook pro is an overall better value with the exception of having a standard Hard Drive instead of Solid State Storage. The pro will also give you the option to upgrade RAM or the Hard drive years later to squeeze more life out of the notebook.

I am a big fan of the Macbook Air, but it is not expandable, which is more of an issue with RAM than storage in the long run, especially if you end up carrying an external hard drive anyway. 128GB is plenty for me, but I do not store a large music or movie library on my laptop. The Macbook Pro should have a faster processor than the Macbook Air because the Air uses lower voltage lower power processors. If you do go with the Macbook Air, I would recommend upgrading the RAM to 8gb, but otherwise I think the base model is a great laptop. You may not need the extra RAM now, but it will improve performance, and you will appreciate it after a year or two.
The SSD in the Macbook Air is also a significant performance boost over the HDD in the Macbook Pro.

Thing to consider - the 13" MacBook Air has a display resolution of 1440 x 900 while the 13" MacBook Pro has a display resolution of 1280 x 800. Huge difference Very important, in my opinion.

The macbook air 13 inch is definitely faster than before with SSD however the processor around only 1.8GHz may limit your work, on the other hand, the macbook pro 13 inch with 2.9 GHz and i7 is a sure powerhorse and would handle work better, and ofcourse, if money is no issue, you can always go for a premium 100$ upgrade to 128 GB SSD or even 400$ for 256 GB
