Which do you prefer: taskbar up top, on the side or on the bottom?

Ever since I discovered a great Windows XP theme that made it feel more native on the top, I've been placing my taskbar there. When I got my Vista laptop, I immediately placed the taskbar on top since that's what I was used to; when I upgraded to Windows 7, same thing. Now I've gotten so used to it this way I even have my work computer set up for the taskbar to be on top. So, which do you folks prefer?

Top is the only way to go ;) though none of my friends would ever agree :D

I prefer to have it on the bottom, primarily due to habit. I also like being able to blindly move my cursor to the top of screen and have it placed over the title bar of full screened windows.

Bottom. I like the way it separates the program controls from the Windows side of things.

On Windows 7, I keep the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Ubuntu, on the other hand I keep it default on the top.

Coming from a Mac background, it just felt right to put it up top. Been doing it since Win95 :-)

On the top navigating to the taskbar using a mouse/trackpad feels more natural that way.

Left side. I have a 23" widescreen monitor and sacrificing space at the top or bottom makes no sense when I have all this space at the sides.

Usually bottom (I use Mac as well, but had been using Windows initially). Just generally more accessible and less mousing needed to get to the bar. Tried top a few times but didn't like it.

I prefer to keep it on the bottom, but set to hide when my mouse isn't over it. Much cleaner.
