I feel like they could put an i3 in the base model and maybe beef up the graphics because they seem a tad bit week especially if i keep the mac for 4 years or so and do some gaming(like Trine and Starcraft 2).

They were updated in mid-2010, after the public late 2009 release. The changes were quite significant for graphics and memory, makes me wish I had waited.
