When recording a movie the camera stops recording automatically after about 10 or 15 seconds, i can't find a way to turn this off.

I want to start and stop the recording at my discretion, any ideas?

yes, memory card issue. get a faster card.

It might be an issue with your memory card. For video, especially HD video, you want a fast memory card. I think a Class 6 and up should resolve this. You also might want to try to get a higher capacity card, because I know that the time recording limit is based on the size of the output video file (up to 4GB I think).

thanks guys i'll see about faster card i got a larger memory card but didn't think about how fast it was.

I have a class 10, 16gb and have no problems as compared to a different class 4 card I have.
