Question about
What to do with a dead touchscreen?
I have a Motorola Milestone with a dead touch screen (after just 7 months). Quite disappointed. Did you encountered the same problem? What did you do?
I never had that particular problem, though I had several others with my Droid. In each case I went back to my carrier and, after some cajoling, convinced them to provide me with a replacement. If you are contract free you may be able to contact Motorola directly as this issue would likely be covered under their warranty. Check their site here for details on that:
www.motorola.com/Support/GB-EN/Consumer-Support/Mo...
or their warranty specific section here:
www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/Support%20Hom...
If you got the device second hand sans warranty you could always set it up as a secondary screen via VPN. Have an extra screen for a small news ticker or some such.
