What's the best drive diagnostic tool for Mac OS X?

If we're getting specific, something optimized for (Intel) SSDs would be best, namely since the Intel SSD Toolbox is Windows only and doesn't even seem to mount a Mac-formatted drive.

Already tried TechTool Deluxe, was not impressed.

DiskWarrior has always been there for me, though I'm not sure how they've been progressing on SSD fronts. "Speed Reduced by Disk Malfunction" is usually the #1 indicator that a drive is on its last legs.

DiskWarrior and Data Rescue if you are trying to get to data. Haven't tried either on my SSD as of yet and keeping backups hoping I never need to.

I know Onyx is a great utility. It also has a lot of great extra tools, though I haven;t used t on an Intel SSD. It's worth a shot.

I'm partial to Drive Genius.

Did the Genius Bar not help you today?

Smart utility by volitans software is actually a good download. I've never tried it on an SSD but it's a life saver with a regular drive.
