Question about
what phone should I buy?
I'm looking to upgrade my current piece of crap motorola charm with a new smartphone. I want something that has decent battery life (8-9 hours), a large enough screen for videos (resolution is not very important to me), dual core processor (I'm a heavy mobile multitasker) and possibly a qwerty keyboard, though this isn't as important. My budget is between $200-300. If any one could suggest a phone that fit my criteria, that will be great.
I'm also most likely going to get it used if I can find it.
One more thing, my provider is tmobile, so I need a gsm capable phone.

The one phone I like the most on T-mobile at the moment is the HTC Sensation 4g, it's probably the best phone T-mobile is currently offering, It however is going for about 400 to 450 new, but if you can get is used, it should be within your price range. It has a 1.2 ghz dual core processor, runs Android 2.3, has 1 gig of internal memory and comes with an 8gig microsd card. The screen is also very nice, 4.3 inch screen running at a very nice resolution. While I've only used it, and haven't actually had one personally, so I can't speak on long term usage, however, of the people I know that own one, no one has had an problems with it.

The Sensation and Mytouch 4G slide are the only future proof phones on T-Mobile. That being said neither has Netflix. The two phones that do have that service are the Nexus S and the G2.
The Slide is supposed to have an awesome camera, with great low light performance.
Also, about resolution. It's everything a bigger screen without resolution to march looks pixely and doesn't show text as well. It's why people don't buy SD TVs anymore.

I believe the Nexus S is a good choice. Personally, I don't think a dual core processor would necessarily help you with "multitasking" (correct me if I'm wrong) any more than Android already allows you. I have Verizon and I would kill to have any Nexus device (hopefully the next one).
It just doesn't have a micro SD card slot, which will prevent you from expanding memory in the future. But if you are not a bleeding edge tech guy and don't care about the latest, then get the Nexus S, even though they may be announcing the successor soon.

Looks like an awesome phone. The only thing I'm not too excited about is the crap sense UI
