For me these are the top 3 things that set it aside from other that are out there right now.
  1. its stock android with no 3rd party skins
  2. the price is good at about 200 (8GB) to 250 (16GB)
  3. i believe this is the only quad core 7 inch tablet out right now

now i really like the 7inch tablet size. i am really looking forward for this device. i have had samsung 7inch tablets in the past and they were ok not great. i don't like the "extras" that they install on the devices and i don't like having to remove it all if i can remove it all.

Over all for the 200 to 250 price range for a small tablet i think the Nexus 7 has potential. Especially when comparing it to the Amazon fire which i think had a lot of potential but just fell short. a little processing power or ram would have helped that device a lot.

Don't forget the build quality. It is much nicer than a lot of other android tablets on the market.

Also remember it's a Nexus device so updates will happen directly from Google. This means they will happen fast. When Google announces a new version, Nexus devices get it usually within a week. Other manufactures take months, and some devices never get updates at all. I would expect this to be updated for at least 2-3 major OS releases.
