What makes a smartphone essential to you?
I'm doing an article for my Professional Writing class, and while I'm looking specifically for apps essential to students, I'm looking for a few choice quotes that answer why your device of choice (whether it be Android, iOS, or Blackberry OS) fits into your life so well. Of course there's the fact that it's portable and can take the place of many other devices, etc, but what about specifics?
Essentials are gmail, google voice, twitter, dropbox, facebook, and a full web browser. Those are what I use most, and consider mandatory for any phone I'm to get. I've had plenty of smartphones, mostly iphones and androids and they both work well for students. Since I use my google voice as my only number now, that'd a must for me. Other apps friend on what you use now. I've always used gmail, gcal, and gdocs, so android was a god fit for me. Others that have everything on apple might like the iphone better.
