hi dude

first u need know the full form of RAM-RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY
THE MAIN USE OF RAM IS
  1. Ram is temporary memory, where it is used to store things for a quick access because ram is more faster than ur hard disk, but whatever u store in hard disk is permanent untill u delete it whereas ram is volatile that is the information it holds is temporary like whenever power goes off the information that was present in the ram would have been washed out.
  2. RAM IS COMPUTERS MAIN MEMORY

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEMORY AND RAM IS
  1. A COMPUTER RUNS ON TWO TYPES OF MEMORY FIRST IS RAM AND MEMORY IN THE HARD DISK

BUT ONE THING IS THAT THE RAM IS ANOTHER TYPE OF MEMORY.
