What is the best Twitter client for Android?

I recently asked a similar question about Android browsers on gdgt and now I'd like to see what Twitter clients other users prefer. Once again, this question is pretty subjective and again, I'm not looking for any cool features. What I need in a Twitter client is for it to be fast and have a nice clean interface.

I'm used to the iPhone official Twitter app but have tried Twitter, TweetDeck, Seesmic, Twicca, and Twidroyd (UberSocial) on Android. I find many of their interfaces to be rather cluttered in comparison to the iOS counterparts so I usually end up going back to the Twitter official app. So what do you use and why?

I think I've pretty much used all the Twitter clients for Android and I always go back to TweeDeck.

I'm a heavy list user and TweetDeck lets you create an unlimited amount of columns that you can swipe through that can contain lists (and searches). When you're going through your columns, it has a slim strip on the side that tells you where you are in your column and it highlights the portions that you haven't read in yellow. Kind of hard to explain, but if you install it, you'll know what I mean. It's also really nice that you can connect your Facebook and Foursquare accounts into it. I like being able to read and post from a single app. Last thing that it has over most Twitter clients is the ability to preview media. I think it supports the most photo sharing services than any other app I've used and it also gives preview thumbnails of Youtube videos.

The only thing that TweetDeck is lack for me is push notifications, which is why I install the official Twitter app. Hopefully Twitter will stay committed to TweetDeck and keep updating their apps and add these sort of enhancements.

I've used Seesmic, Tweetdeck, Twidroyd, Plume and Twitter. I was using Seesmic as my go-to client for the longest time but recently switched to Plume. I'm finding Plume to be perfect for what I want in a client. Simple interface that doesn't look too bogged down by unnecessary columns (I feel like all the twitter clients have the same column options on the top). It has a scrolling widget which is nice and is aesthetically pleasing. The only complaint i have about Plume is how it handles Lists in twitter which isn't a deal breaker for me with the client but I may now revisit Tweetdeck just for better list support.

I started out with Twidroyd but started using the official app when Twidroyd stopped working once. I ended up liking it better and have stuck with it. It's also nice to not have to worry that they will lose their API access again for violating the terms.

I find Seesmic to work best because of the way it handles multiple twitter accounts. It's free, so give it a try if you are looking for a simple and intuitive way to manage more than one account.

Now I don't personally own an Android device myself, but ALL of my close friends (with the exception of one who has a WP7) use Android and let me use them all the time. From what I've tried, the official Twitter client for Android is probably my favorite. It's clean, it's officially supported by Twitter, and it works. I've also tried TweetDeck (which is what I use on my PC) for Android, and while it's good I found it a little buggy, but maybe that's just me.

For a long time I was a big fan of the Seesmic app, mainly because I could check my FB feed and Buzz in addition to Twitter. Since G+ came out, I stopped reading my Buzz and also no longer use FB. During my Seesmic time, the official Twitter app has gotten an update or two making it a lot better than it used to be. Now I only use the official Twitter app. It is fast and clean and I don't feel like I am missing out on any features.

I use TweetCaster. I have had no issues with it and I really love the UI. Plenty of features and is free.
