Question about
What is the best smart phone currently offered by Verizon?
I'm up for my upgrade next month, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to get what I really want (a Windows phone) anytime soon. I don't want the iPhone, so I'm just wondering what the best options are.

I'm going to have to go with the Galaxy Nexus. You can check out reviews and specs here: gdgt.com/samsung/galaxy/nexus.

The best phone offered is the iPhone 4s. It has the best display and lets not even talk about camera quality. Apps bought on the phone are cross platform and can work on your iPod and the iPad all without having to buy then a second or third time.

I really think that Windows Phone, if not better, is more fun to use than iOS & Android. The Metro UX, the live tiles, the ability to pin stuff from inside apps to your Start screen, the social integration, the fluidity and the speed of the OS really makes a big difference.
The only Windows Phone device offered by Verizon, at the moment, is the HTC Trophy. It is nothing special but that doesn't mean that it's bad by any means. It has fairly decent specs which are well enough for Windows Phone to run perfectly on it.
I'd suggest to choose a device based on the platform and the software experience and not the other way around.
Still, if you like Android, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the HTC Rezound are great choices. If you like iOS, the iPhone 4S is the obvious option.
Good luck.
