What is everyone's preferred Mac backup tool?

I've been using Time Machine to do my backups for a couple of years now but I feel like there is something better and more flexible out there. I can't even create a bootable drive with Time Machine and I've heard of people being unable to restore from Time Machine backups in the past. Not looking at online backup (already rolling with Backblaze)

I use Carbon Copy Cloner to create 1:1 bootable backups. It's basically the same thing as SuperDuper and each app has its fans.

For remote backups, I use Backblaze for my needs. It's been pretty awesome for me, though I've heard some people complain the the process to restore backups is rather cumbersome. Fortunately, I haven't needed that yet -- and for all intents and purposes, it's worked fine.

I tend not to use Time Machine -- it's a resource hog and it's hourly backups are pretty annoying (though this interval can be changed using something like Onyx or the Secrets pref pane).

I use a combination of Time Machine and SuperDuper!. I just prefer to have multiple backups in case something happens to one of them.

SuperDuper does allow you to create bootable backups. That is what I use it for precisely.

I use Carbonite. It does three things that I feel a critical to a good backup plan:
1 - Offsite backup
2 - Does not require user interaction (automatic)
3 - Files are available online (easy recovery)

Time machine works fine. I have used it a couple of times including setting up a new iMac. I also use carbon copy cloner to make a bootable backup as well for good measure
