Question about

What games do you personally use the Xbox 360 controller for on the PC?

I use it for Dirt2 and Dirt3 as well as Super Meat Boy. I actually found that I could not progress further than a certain point in Dirt2 without analog control inputs of some sort, so I got one of these.

I have used an Xbox360 controller for ToCA if I wasn't using a wheel. I probably used it the most in Battlefield 2. I had the controller setup to use the various vehicles in the game. So after jumping in a jeep, or helicopter I'd grab the controller. I briefly used it for TES IV: Oblivion before grabbing the Xbox version.

The biggest problem I find is getting the controller mapped correctly or it not functioning as expected. Like having no pressure sensitivity on the triggers, etc...

Like others I use to to play Super Meat Boy, it's virtually impossible to play on the keyboard. I'm also using it to play Splinter Cell: Conviction and GTA IV.

I use mine for racing games mostly. (F1 2010, Trackmania, Flatout, etc.) I also pull it out for GTA and FIFA and other random games that are just not intuitive with mouse and keyboard. The best thing about this controller is that it makes 'Games for Windows Live' bearable.

Super meat boy, Batman Arkham Asylym, Magicka (works oddly well), Darksiders, Fable3, Assassins Creed (I & II + brotherhood), Fallout New Vegas, Mafia II, GTA4, the list goes on... Mostly games that have been ported from consoles and really benefit from using the controller instead of mouse+keyboard.

Dirt 2, Trine, and Arkham Asylum most recently. I'd like to use it for Mass Effect, but controller support isn't built in. For FPS's I always use mouse and keyboard. I tried using the controller with Bioshock and hated the experience.

Trackmania, can't really do the racing part with the keyboard well.

I used it for Batman Arkham Asylum. And Bulletstorm but seeing as that was rubbish I wouldn't count it.

I always use a keyboard and mouse on a PC. Though, that said, I far prefer racing games with a gamepad, but I use my Xbox 360 and PS3 for those anyway.

Since I don't actually have the means to use this on the PC, I haven't attempted to yet. But I would typically use it for racing games only, maybe the odd adventure if I found it necessary. Otherwise I just use the keyboard and mouse.

An exception to the rule is Trackmania since that adapts to the keyboard's On/Off button stance well, while most racing games are better when you can control the amount a button is pressed down such as a trigger or an analog stick.
