What games are you looking forward to this holiday season?

Alright, the holiday season is fast approaching, and there's a ton of blockbuster games coming out in the next few months. What are you looking forward to and what system will you be playing it on?

1. Battlefield 3
For myself, I'm looking forward to playing Battlefield 3! I've been a huge fan of the BF series forever (still have fond memories of Wake Island in BF 1942 on my PC back in the early oughts!). The new game looks slick, and I've enjoyed BF2 and BF: Bad Company 2 more than I've ever enjoyed the Call of Duty series. I've already pre-ordered a copy for the PS3. October 25th can't come soon enough!

2. Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
Another game I'm looking forward to is Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls series is another favorite of mine. Oblivion was a blast, and I can't wait to see how they take it to the next level. The game play video already looks insane! My only question now is -- PC or PS 3? (Leaning toward PC, since there will undoubtably be a ton of mods for the game!)

3. Minecraft
Of course, there is also Minecraft, which will be "officially released" in November. There's only about 3 of us in the office who enjoy it, while the rest make fun of it. But there's just something so fun about this sandbox world! We already have access to the betas and have been playing it forever (anyone can, really), but it will be interesting to see how Notch and company take it to the next level.

My most anticipated game for this holiday season is most certainly Skyrim. I'll be playing it on PS3, although part of me wants to see how great it will look on my 27" iMac. Either way I'm incredibly excited for it and have been consuming every bit of information I can on it leading up to its launch.

I play PS3, so here's my list:
MW3
Batman: Arkham City
Metal Gear Solid HD remake

I originally thought Twisted Metal would be sick, but now I am not so sure. The new Uncharted looks awesome too, but I may want to pick up the older twin pack to get the best bang for the buck instead of going with the new hotness that's gonna drop in price in 6 months.

Definite games for next year: Mass Effect 3 (probably my biggest) and an SC2 Expansion.

I'm also really looking forward to hearing news about Blizzard's new MMO that they are supposedly going to drop information about at Blizzcon.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to a lot of "3s" this year.

Mario Kart for the 3DS. As far as 360 games goes, I just bought Space Marines and that was the first game since the Street Fighter IV series that I have been interested in. If I am going to sit at my 360, I am almost always going to default to playing more Street Fighter.

I would say Skyward Swords, but I don't plan to get that until I finish Twilight Princess, which I haven't played in so long that I decided to wait and play through it with my kids when they get interested in it. :/

I'm still playing games from 5 years ago, so my more prudent side says I'm not supposed to be looking forward to anything. However...

Professor Layton and the Last Specter (DS): The puzzles! The animation! The story! Okay, apparently you're not supposed to care about the stories in Professor Layton games, but I am looking forward to this "prequel" which shows how Luke met the professor.
Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC): So... yeah, I'm normally not into MMORPGs, and I haven't really been into Star Wars in years, but... Jedi Consular, baby!
Camping Mama (DS): Wait, what? I think this is just here so there aren't only two items on the list. Yeah, that's got to be it.

1. The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection. - PS3

Both games are just beautiful, and playing them at 1080p, and 60fps... Can't wait.

2. God of War Origins Collection. - PS3
I didn't played Ghost of Sparta, so I'm really looking forward to it.

3. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. - PS3
Well, it's Uncharted.

4. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. - PS3

I'm a fan of Suda 51 (Killer7 a.k.a best game ever), and, even though NMH is, in my opinion, at the bottom of Suda games (Killer7 > Shadows of the Damned > NMHs), it's still a pretty cool series and playing the first again in HD is something I'm looking forward to.

Also, I will probably pick MW3 on XB360, because of my friends, but I'm not really looking forward to it (heck, I haven't even started the campaign on Black Ops).

I preorderd 5 games on Amazon and I'm trying really hard to not buy any more than that.

I do have to travel to travel across the country twice between now and end of the year so chances are good that a Star Fox 3D purchase is in my future.

Child of Eden, Rage, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and maybe Saint's Row: The 3rd. (All on PS3)

Currently finishing up Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and about to start Resistance 3...

EDIT: If anyone hasn't picked up Deus Ex: HR yet, I highly recommend it! Incredible world that pulls you in, and the stealth gameplay is oh so refreshing! Brings back fond memories of Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2).
