Question about
What drivers do I need to use the Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter in Windows 7 on the 2011 MBA?
This is not a direct answer to your question; but, seeing as it has been 4 days and there are still no responses . . .
One possible way around the problem is to use virtualization of Windows either via VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop. Having said that, I don't have that adapter, and can not guarantee that this approach will work. Apologies in advance if virtualization doesn't meet your requirements.
I use VMware Fusion all the time, and it can run just about any version of Windows, Linux, etc. It is a total cheat around your issue. If Windows gaming matters to you, you may want to try Parallels instead of VMware Fusion as I hear its support for 3D acceleration and DirectX 9 is superior to that of VMware. Since these features are not important to me, I have never felt the need to investigate further.
One final caution about VMware Fusion and Parallels, you probably want to steer clear if you don't have at least 4GB of RAM. I have run XP virtual machines on one of the original 15" MBPs which had just 2GB of RAM with decent results, but I elected to tweak the default XP installs to improve performance - something you may not be interested in taking the time to do or something that doesn't meet your needs. Thus, this is very much a "your mileage may vary" suggestion. Hope it helps anyway.
