what does diskette drive 0 seek failure mean?

computer kept asking for other user and now saying diskette drive 0 seek failure need help please.

if there is really a floppy drive in it that causes the seek failure it most likely means that the read head of the drive is damaged, or in short: it's gone, may it rest in peace...

It might mean that your hdd maybe dying.. Since your using a dell, once you turn on the try hitting f12 repeatedly, you should see boot device option, choose either hdd diags, preboot system diags, diags or utility partion.. Hdd diags, onboard diags or psa will run a test on the computer immediately. If utility partition is chosen, you can either run express test or custom test and test your hdd..

If you see floppy disk seek error, and you don't a floppy drive, just disable it in bios.
