Question about
What do I do with my old 360?
I currently have the new black Xbox 360, however, I also have the original Xbox 360 but the CD drive is not working. Any suggestions with what I can do with this piece of hardware?
I also have a halo edition Xbox 360 with the ring of death. I'm told that I can take the CD drive out and flash it so that it works with the white 360 but I don't know if it's within my ability to do all that. I hear the word flash and I start giving blank stares. Any thoughts?

I am a huge fan of using them a Windows Media Center Extenders. I have one connected to each of the 2 other tvs in the house with the media center connected to the TV in the living room. I have a single interface that works on all the machines to manage the DVR functions.

Do you have other TVs in the house? If Microsoft enables multiple Xboxes to have the same profile signed into them (which I believe was announced for the software update this fall), you could use it as just a media streamer. You could also use it as a downloadable games only machine in another room as well.
Absent any use for it in another room, and if you don't want to tackle fixing the drive, you could probably make a little bit off of it on eBay.

go onto you tube and watch how to fix xbox 360 with ring of death and then watch it and do it step by step but i think after you've repaired it to sell and get a ps3 because a ps3 is extremly unlikely to break ever
