Question about
What are the implications of not having USB mass storage on the Galaxy Nexus?
I currently use this alot for transferring my files to and from pc. I also plug my phone straight into my ps3 and use it as mass storage and I can watch all my videos and listen to all my audio off my galaxy s in a matter of seconds. Will I lose this functionality and how much of a pain or workaround is required because of the new mtp standard employed? Is this also an ics thing or just a galaxy nexus thing ?

To answer the last question, it's just a Nexus thing - ICS supports USB Mass Storage. For moving files to and from a PC it's practically the same as USB Mass Storage, with the differences being that: a) you can still access media on the Nexhs while connected and b) if you want to modify a file ON the Nexus through a PC you have to move that file TO the PC, do your thing, and move it back. For Mac one needs a tool because it doesn't support PTP natively like Windows.
For the PS3 it could be a problem. Can you view files from a camera on the PS? If so theb it IS not a problem as the PS3 and the camera would be using PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol). The Nexus has full support for this, even on the PC.

Transferring files to a PC I've moved over to wifi. You can check out AirDroid or Wifi File Explorer Pro. Unless it's a huge file, I get annoyed if I have to find a cable and plug it in (spoiled right?).
I haven't found consistently good solutions for my PS3. DLNA compatible apps will probably help solve the problem. Check out iMediaShare or BubbleUPnP.
I think MTP is going to be the future of Android. I think Google is using it to avoid a potential patent fight over using the USB mass storage protocol.
