What are good yield numbers for an inkjet?

I'm thinking of getting a new printer when my current Canon runs out of ink next as it seems like we are always replacing the inks.

I'm looking at the Epson Artisan 730 and Epson Stylus NX430 because of there Airprint ability. But I'm not sure if the claims of "Approx. Black 330 pages, Colour Composite 510 pages" (730) and "Approx. Black 255 pages, Colour Composite 350 pages" (NX430) are good numbers? And also if the two extra tanks in the 730 will make it's cost per page higher or lower?

Any help would be appreciated as I don't know much about printers.

Can't speak for yield numbers but based on my long experience with printers I recommend you run as far away as you can from inkjet. The ink is exorbitantly priced, and dries up when you don't use it regularly. My advice to you: go with a laser printer. I'm very happy with my Brother black and white wireless laser printer that I bought for less than $100. Color laser printers are getting cheaper too. Laser printer toner doesn't dry up and you can print pages forever without needing to replace the cartridge. Do it. You won't be sorry.
