Was there any mention of a software update for Kindle 3 at today's event?

Was there any mention at Amazon's kindle event that a new software update would be released for the Kindle 3 or earlier devices?

While there was no mention of this at the event a software update (3.3) has now been released for the kindle keyboard.

It doesn't add all the features of the new kindles (the book xray stuff) but it does add improved personal document/cloud stuff.
