I have dual monitors on my Macbook Pro. Sometimes when I open up the laptop the secondary monitor(the macbook's) will never fully load. The screen remains a light gray color, I'd estimated #CCC.
I can drag applications from one screen to the other. I've tried changing the background image but it still remains the same gray color.
Question about
Waking dual monitors on OSx Lion, sometimes cause 2nd monitor to never fully load
For what it's worth, I occasionally had the same problem on Snow Leopard.

Happens to me daily. Extremely annoying.
Used to be able to fix it temporarily by logging out and back in, but after an update a few weeks ago this no longer works.
Also, when this happens, half of my menu bar at the top of the screen turns black when I switch between Desktops.
Hopefully this gets fixed soon!
