Question about
Video
What do you think about the video playback? I choose this primarily as a cheap portable to connect to my children's portable DVD player in the Van. Transcoding took a long time and I haven't found out what to set the video resolution to otherwise. Anyone have any hints?
Your video resolution should be set at 240x320. What are you using to transcode your videos? I'm using CloneDVD Mobile, and my videos take 10-20 minutes depending on what exactly it is. However, the screen isn't great for watching long movies.

I use a program called Xmedia Recode because it has a preset for the sansa view and it works pretty fast, and it has a portable version so i can just keep it on a flash drive and use it where ever i am.

And if you are a little more advanced with the video handling and Have .mkv videos then i suggest mkvextract and mp4box (yamb is pretty easy solution) to Remux the video at 100%
