Question about
Ubuntu NBR wireless support?
Is anyone having trouble making their wireless work with Ubuntu Netbook Remix? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport/Machines/N... says that there are wireless issues for the 1000HE.
I haven't used NBR, but I have Jolicloud running on my 1000HE, and I believe it's built on Ubuntu NBR. I haven't run into any network problems yet.
If you want to test the OS without installing it, you can probably put NBR on a flash drive (I gave Jolicloud for a test drive via an SD card) and see if you get wireless access with it. If not, then at least you haven't installed a full OS on the netbook (and you can try out Jolicloud instead).
Good luck, and please let me know if you were able to get it to work. Although I'm happy with Windows 7 and Jolicloud, I may try it for myself.
