1. Is the silver ring and logo on the outside of the earcups just silver plastic or are they actually metal?
2. How is the bass on these? I hear very inconsistent opinions about this. I like my cans with as much bass as possible without sounding distorted or muffling out the mids and highs... Would these fill that description?

If i may suggest, buy the sony MDR-XB500 headphones. They have wery wery good bass, all the other sounds sound great and they are just great headphones!! I've had them for a year and haven't regretted buying them for a second! And even the price is low, i think it is around 50$
