Trouble Setting Up on my Mini 1000

I want to be able to connect this mouse to my HP MIni 1000. The netbook has bluetooth and detects the mouse. But every time I go through set up, it asks me for a code. I've tried 0000, like I've seen when I googled the issue, but I've never been able to connect successfully.

Suggestions?

I don't know what your bluetooth setup utility is like, but there should be a separate option somewhere along the way to select that it's a device that doesn't use a code (like mice, keyboards, anything else without a screen).

in apple's bluetooth setup utility the first option asks you for the device type and by picking mouse it skips the code step later on.

Don't use the HP bluetooth setup. Use the Windows built in bluetooth setup if you're running Windows. You won't need a code and the mouse works perfectly. I use it every day. I think the same thing works for Ubuntu.

If you're running that Mi Edition or whatever then you might be out of luck because I don't know its capabilities.
