Ordered from Amazon ($240)...I have the Sammy Intercept now (since launch) and it is very annoying. It seems to take forever to do anything....mostly notice it when using web browser and pandora (i.e. sometimes turning down the volume from button press to volume change can take like 10-15 sec. and quitting the app and changing stations takes forever!) Also making and receiving calls....I've missed calls before due to the screen not turning on until the last sec. (or if its already on, not changing to the call screen until the last sec.) While placing calls; from call button press to actual call (same as volume issue: takes 10-20s)...The other day NOTHING happened when I pressed "call" and 10MIN later it made the call...then made the next failed call 5min after that one ended....
Im guessing its due to the 800MHz processor being taxed or the fact that I have the horribly small internal memory almost full?
So finally to my question....Will i see improvement with the Triumph and its 1GHz? Anyone else make the switch?
Also, Is it able to run Netflix?....What about the possibility for ICS? Can we petition VM to get that going if its capable?...or 2.3 if anything...?

Question about
Triumph v Intercept...and Netflix?
Note, I didn't have the Intercept. The Triumph is my first Virgin Mobile phone.
And I'm going to go ahead and say that you'll probably notice better responsiveness. The UI has been fairly smooth in my experience. There is the occasional lag or lockup, but not so bad that would make me give up on it.
Netflix runs just fine, although I wouldn't do it over 3G because the speeds in my area can't handle it... but I can stream over WiFi just fine.
Gingerbread is available here, through a custom CyanogenMod 7: androidforums.com/triumph-all-things-root/
Note, you're going to want to have the device activated before going to CM.
They're also working on CM9, but its going to take a bit longer :\ But hey, at least they're working on it. At time of writing, I believe they can make calls and some others stuff, but Data and Wifi are still a no-go.
And honestly, I don't know if VM will ever get around to updating it :\ If they do, that'd be nice... but my bet will be with the community and the developers to give more "timely" updates.
