Life goes on. I already had an iPad from when they first came out, and recently got a Galaxy Tab 7" for my birthday, both of which I like a lot. I actually have warmed up to 7" tablet form factor quite a bit, so I'm curious about other smaller tablets. Was really looking forward to the rumored "Opal" 7" webOS tablet, but I guess that'll never come into being.
Will look out for other Android and iOS tablets, but that would've been the case even without HP's shocking news. I am a gadget enthusiast who doesn't mind brand/OS hopping. :)

No, I just wasted $350 on a retired product.

Fire sale at BestBuy: $99 for 16GB, $149 for 32GB. Good price if you only need it for email and web. I was waiting for the rumored 7" version, but that may never happen now that HP has stopped work on WebOS hardware. Still hoping that the Pre³ comes out as planned.

I already own an iPad 2 — which I absolutely love — but $150 for a 32GB tablet was too good to pass up. I think I'll give it to my kids (6 & 10) and let them play games and watch movies on it.
