Question about
The way the ear clips pop off the headphones so easily is starting to annoy me.
I just came back from running an errand where I had my iPod tucked inside my coat and was wearing the headphones under my hat, with the cord hanging loose. The cord caught on a chain-link fence I was passing, and with the speed I walking at, the cord yanked one 'phone off my ear, separating it from the clip. I took a few steps before I noticed the clip was missing, and spent a few minutes then searching for the white clip in the white snow in the dark night. Luckily it landed on top of a snowbank.
I snapped the clip back into place and everything's back to normal, but this can't keep happening. I'm not fond of the idea of having to use the lifetime warranty to have to send the headphones in every time the clip decides to go for a little trip. I'd glue the clips on but that would get rid of the flexibility.
Any suggestions? And "buy a more expensive pair of headphones" doesn't work unless you can recommend a good set of clip earphones; not fond of ear buds and over-ear headphones are too clunky.

a few dabs of superglue? Maybe not to reduce flexibility, but in between a tiny piece of floss to create a tether so when it does unclip, it doesn't separate.

They have ' ipod jackets '.. Ice Cube actually had an exclusive line of similar - Actually came with earbuds built into the jackets hoodie - can't remember the name. Well anyhow, " most jackets $99 ".. About the same as alot of sport/running jackets.

Otherwise, you can get a glue gun and a lollypop stick to create a glue loop.. loop the buds through that then glue the loop to the clip.. so it still slides.. Real budget, takes a bit of practice, but thats how I've seen most people do it fer less than the jacket. In any event, be safe.

The Audio Technica ATH-EM7GMs are solid metal, comfortable, and sound pretty good for about $50. They aren't as light though, and I wouldn't recommend them for running if that's part of the equation.
