The Harmony One is such a great remote, but why oh why oh why is the setup software completely atrocious. It's infuriating!

Because almost ALL hardware companies suck at writing software, Apple being one of the few exception :)

Agreed. The most annoying thing is if you have 2 Harmonys you have to create a separate login for each one to set it up. I keep wondering if logitech will ever release 8.0 of this software that will hopefully support more than 1 remote for an account.

I have to agree, the software could be much better. I have 4 Harmony remotes and had to create 4 accounts to configure and use them.

I think the software would benefit from an "advanced" mode for when your configuration is working but you just want to tweak or make a minor change. Going through their wizard each time is really counter productive. I've managed to screw up an entire activity, just trying to fix a small timing issue.

Welcome to the club. I have a Harmony 1100. Works for me. BUT - configuration?!?! Worst thing I have seen. 1. I have to turn wireless off in order to connect. Configuration ?? Doesn't get it right. Every time switching to AppleTV the command to switch the amp to HDMI3 doesn't go out. I press HELP and it get send!! The remote software asks me "did that work?" but doesn't remember....Stupid thing!? Oh sorry - it's me. So I went back into the config software to fix it - hoping they have upgraded the software (since November last year). Nope - same version. There's is no way to change the sequence of commands so I close the config software. Now the THING (the remote) always asks "The Remote thinks that all devices are off..."! Annoyance on top of frustration. I'm over with that thing. Any software company that doesn't revise its software for a device like this - in my eyes - has given up on it. So has my family.... I have to look for something new (remote that is). The 1100 is slowly working its way up into what I call POS status.
