Some issues, and some other questions.

Just wondering if anyone else has had these problems.

-Google talk locking up a lot, I even once had it lock up when i got a phone call and the phone app refused to start up so i could answer it.

-I had an "audio problem" that required a reboot of the phone, music would just play a jumbled sound, the voice search just kept firing an audio problem error, and when i got a text it was also just a screech sound.

-I paired the phone to my car's bluetooth speakerphone, but the car's mic was not sending my voice to the phone, it was still using the phone's regular mic. (the audio was piping into the car's stereo system though)

Other questions I have

Did anyone else not get any kind of manual with your phone? (wondering if the people at best buy swiped it or if it just didn't exist) (edit* ok found out it's online at www.motorola.com/support/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=203... )

Anyone know if there is an easy way to shut down apps that don't shut down when you return to the home screen. I had google listen on but not playing, and it wasn't till i hit play and pause again that i could get the program to shut down.

I was able to fix the problem, but when I originally sync'd my contacts it combined my father and brother (rick and richard), anyone know an easy was to tell the system to tell the phone that these are 2 different people? I ended up just changing rick to dad.

Unfortunately I cannot replicate any of these issues. As for the pairing. My Droid is working great with my Pioneer Headunit.

Overload

My Verizon store recommended we download Advanced Task Killer or Task Killer. That should help you shut down apps.

Well i just had another problem (which is the second time i've had it)

Occasionally the touch screen refuses to turn on. I had it once when i pulled it out of my pocket and could not get the screen to come up when i pressed the top on button and was forced to pull the battery to shut it down to restart.

This time it never would come back on in the middle of a call, i pulled it from my head, the bottom buttons lit up, but nothing would cause the screen to come up to allow me to cancel the call. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I was leaving a voice message so i couldn't end the call and again had to pull the battery. When I restarted it it gave me an force closed error about shop savvy, had nothing but problems with that app so just going to remove it and hope it was causing the problems.

So since the phone being released i've had to shutdown the phone 4 times due to bugs (first gen phone so i went in knowing there would be bugs, so i'm not mad just irritated :), and hope that posting stuff like this here will lead to a tech at motorola reading it )

Also anyone else have a problem when using the voice search and you get a "connection problem" yet the voice system isn't having a problem?

last question, Anyone figure out how to use voice search to navigate to a contact?

Tips for giving the best answers

Sometimes it's just little details that separates a great and not so great answer! Here are a few simple tips to keep in mind:

1
Be complete and thorough. Don't skimp on the details!
2
Try not to answer with a question. Because that's not really an answer, right?
3
A little research goes a long way. Back up your claims and assumptions!
4
Try to be patient, tech questions can be complicated.
5
You are awesome for both reading this and answering questions.
