So this whole better battery life thing?

I received the OTA update to my phone and yes, the touch screen keyboard is a LOT more accurate than it was before so one handed SMS's for on the go are a lot easier. To my dismay I am actually receiving WORSE battery life. I don't have ANY of the blur services running. I use the stand alone apps for said services. I take my phone off the charger around 9 am and with minimal use on a day like today, where it's in my pocket while at work then on my lunch break hit the social sites (gdgt included) and check my RSS feeds, then go back to work and by 7ish it's at 15% batter life.

Is anyone else having this issue of worse battery life?

Mine is way worse! I used to get about 1.5 days and since the update it has gotten worse and worse. My phone completely died 5 hours after a full charge today. My supervisor is having the same problem with his. I wish I hadn't installed this update.

I'm actually seeing much better battery life. Where before I couldn't go without a half day before it died, I can go the entire day without needed to reach out for a charger. I'm also running the motoblur services as well. Touchscreen is more accurate as well.

I agree with peterto. My CLIQ's battery life has far improved since the update. Instead of charging three times a day (heavy user) I only charge once. I have left on GPS and Wifi as well. The charging time seems to be only slightly improved, but it certainly hasn't gotten worse.

well I've done two day tests on one day I had wifi on all day and the next day I had 3g on all day. So my general consensus is that wifi is better for your battery while on than 3g? Cause when I had wifi on my first day the battery was SOOOOO much better. Thoughts?

I'm having the same battery troubles, I have to go to the charger at least twice a day, sometimes only for a quick charge to get it back to 50% percent, I usually have wifi and 3g on which my guess is why I'm having battery trouble... my question is whats better to leave on 3g or wifi?
