So if I already have an Xbox 360 Kinect, is there any advantage to getting one of these?

From what I've read, it's a lot more sensitive for up close objects thanks to newer firmware on the Windows version. If you already own the 360 version, I'd just download the Windows SDK that's already out (or coming out, whichever) and go from there since yours will work with both the 360 and the PC, while the Windows version is PC only.

It is more sensitive but even with the orignal Kinect we were able to create this spatial operating system with augmented reality and head mounted displays
