I have Verizon, and I really like the Droid 2 Global. It has the newer phone features I want, as well as a hardware keyboard I like.
My problem is it seems like the Driod 2 has been out for awhile, and I am wondering if I am going to regret upgrading now. I have seen a ton of new devices being talked about, and LTE, and iPhone 5, and I don't want to get into something that I am bound to for 2 years and a month from now something really sweet come out. Anyone have any suggestions?
Question about
So I have been looking to upgrade from my old Blackberry to something that can do multimedia and have a better web experience.
I was having a similar problem earlier this month. Those dual-core phones are awfully cool looking. What I ended up doing was purchasing the Droid Pro (Blackberry form factor) and signing only a one year contract. The phone price goes up ~$40 and you can't use any New Every Two discounts when you sign a one year, but it was still only about $210. So far the phone has been good. I would recommend looking at it if you like the Blackberry fit. At first the keyboard was a little weird (it has this angled bevel on each key), but I like it quite a bit now. It is a way better fit for me than the Palm Pre and Pixi keyboard.

Well I just got a Droid 2 Global this weekend and I'm loving it. As I was reading your post I had a chuckle about how a 4 month old phone is "old".
The way I look at it there is always something better right around the corner. You can just keep waiting and waiting or you can go and get something now. Just remember there will always be new phones coming out with new features and such. 2 years will fly, and you can always upgrade before the 2 year date. I think it is 18 months now.
