Should I get an iPhone 4s or Galaxy Nexus

It's very difficult to recommend one over the other because each OS has its strengths and weaknesses. I have an iPhone 4S for its camera (the best I've ever used on a smartphone), Siri, and beautiful industrial design. The App store has a lot of quality apps and iOS 5 is very polished.
On the other hand, using Google services has always been a better experience on Android (as it should be) than iPhone. Ice Cream Sandwich looks like the best iteration of Android Google has released to date. The quality and quantity of apps in the Android Market has improved. Nexus phones are the first to receive updates to Android and feature a "vanilla" Android experience. However, Samsung phones while having amazing looking screens, have mainly plastic bodies, which can feel a bit flimsy when compared to the glass and aluminum construction of an iPhone.

Galaxy Nexus! It's amazing, much bigger leap than the 4s was in many respects. Not to mention in my opinion it holds the crown for best smartphone on it's own right now.

Depends on what you want. Also if you haven't looked yet WP7 has an amazing platform.

Also something to consider is Network speeds for Iphone. If you are on AT&T you can get hspa+ but if you are on verizon/sprint you are stuck with the basic 3g. Talking real time speeds around 2-6Mbs compared to about 1Mbs.
The Nexus+ICS does make Android much more attractive than it has been though
