Question about
Should I get a refurb. Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP or one of their new 21.5"?
I'm deciding between the 2408WFP that seems to be a bit of a "classic." I found some refurbs on an obscure Dell Financial Site for about $250.
Or I can buy a new Dell 21.5" Ultrasharp (U2211H) for, also, $250.
The 21.5" has good pixel density and it's a much safer purchase, as I don't have to worry as much knowing it's new. The 24", I'm considering just off its strong reputation, but that it's refurbished is making me nervous.
I've purchased refurbished accessories in the past, but never anything like a monitor.
Open to advice on the matter.

I have both monitors and I prefer the U2211H because of the better color representation out of the box, which I bought as a refurb from the dell refurb site and it's lasted me 10 months with no issues (knock on wood). The packaging is not stock, but Dell includes all cables necessary to hook up the monitor to your computer. The U2211H also has an IPS screen as opposed to a S-PVA screen on the 2408WFP if you care about refresh rates, the U2211H is definitely faster, but this only matters if you game a lot.

I've been purchasing refurbished items for many years, it's a great way to save tons of money. You probably will happier making use of larger screen realestate. I would go with the 24" only if it has the same manufactures warranty. That way you have the same assurances of it being new.
