Question about
Samsung Galaxy Nexus or HTC Rezound?
I'm due for a new phone and I was immediately drawn to the Galaxy Nexus when it was announced, but the more I learn about the Rezound, the more appealing it sounds. What are your thoughts, gdgt?

The main reason I went with the Rezound was because it has SD support. The Camera is significantly better as well, and so it the 4G and GPS. The display is smaller, but the pixel density is higher and it has better color reproduction (though the GN has deeper blacks). I did NOT like that the GN had only software navigation buttons. Aside from the fact that they take up screen real estate, I didnt like that they were not persistent. On the Rezound the Home button is ALWAYS there...that is not the case with the GN.

Depends on what you want in a phone. The Galaxy Nexus will offer pure AOSP (Android Open Source Platform) while the Rezound will be running HTC's Sense skin on top. A lot of people don't like Sense but a lot of people also enjoy it. You would need to go check out a phone with Sense to see if it's something you would like. Unfortunately you cannot do that right now for the Galaxy Nexus since it hasn't been released and is running a yet to be released version of Android.
One other thing to consider is that even though HTC has committed to updating the Rezound to Ice Cream Sandwich there is no definite time frame on when it will come, especially when you consider it's a brand new version of Android that they will need to adapt their skin to. Meanwhile the Nexus line of devices are always the first to get the newest updates to Android since Google views them as flagship devices.

i was in the same position and ended up going with the Nexus. I figured I'd regret it if I didn't at least try the nexus since this is the first one on vzw. I'm not regretting it so far.
