PS3-->PSP PS1 titles

Wow, lots of acronyms in the title... anyway. I have Final Fantasy VII on my PS3, can I transfer it to a PSP if I buy one? Do I have to buy it separately? Can saves be transferred so I can start on the PS3 then continue on the PSP?

Thanks.

I have found an easy way to check this. When you are on the Playstation Store purchasing these games, it will say PSP games, PS3 games, PS1 games, etc. When I bought Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, it stated in the details that the game was compatible with the PS3 and PSP. I don't know if all PS1 classics are, but it will say if it does. I believe it shows "PS3/PSP compatible" as well. Some PSN games work and both and some have individual releases that are incompatible (Echochrome for instance).

When you download a game from the PSN you can:

1) download to PC and transfer to PSP/PS3

2) download to PS3 and transfer to PSP/PC

3) download to PSP and transfer to PS3/PC

I believe you can transfer saves as well, but I haven't tried it yet.

As far as I've seen, all PS1 classics are playable on the PSP and the saves are transferable as well. Just copy them to the PSP just like the game from your PS1/PS2 virtual memory card on the PS3 and it will place them appropriately. I do it all the time with FFVII, MGS, and Silent Hill. It's somewhat of a pain when you just want to sit down and fire up the PS3 and play to have to plug in and transfer but hey, at least the option is there.

If you're lucky enough to have the original PS3 with the card readers on the front it's way easier, or faster, whatever, I'm lazy...
