I don't mean to sound thick, but how do you enable the DLNA. A couple months ago, I looked through the user manual and saw a multimedia tab mentioned. This is not present when I log into my 2Big Network drive. I just checked and it seems as though there is a firmware update available. Perhaps the tab will be present once I do the update.

I noticed that it was stated in the documentation. I even contacted Lacie prior to purchasing my PS3. I've had absolutely no luck in getting it to work. As I mentioned in another post, I'm going to update to the latest firmware and see if things change. The last time that I contacted Lacie about this, they did not reply.

I'm hoping that tonight I'll have better luck.

I forgot to reply to the latter part of your post. With my computer, various laptops and my netbook, I've had absolutely no problems accessing the photos, videos, music and software shares that I setup on the drive. It streams really nicely. I've used it of a LAN and Wi-Fi. It has been great. As I mentioned, I've had mine for a couple years now. No problems. I've even been able to stream videos using some hack on the Wii via SMB.

Now if I can just get my PS3 to work with it, I'll be laughing.

I went with LaCie since my IT guys at work had good things to say about their products. Also, I seem to remember that the drives they use are of good quality and are reliable. It has been running for a good 2 years or more, 24/7 without a hitch.

I was using homebrew. If I remember correctly, I was using WMP CE (christmas edition). It worked relatively well, but there were crashes of the Wii that would occur. It was not always reliable due to these crashes. Streaming of any media is much smoother with my computers than with the Wii. I even keep my iTunes library on the NAS.

Back to my original question, the document that you pointed to was for the 2big Network 2. They seem to have branched the product recently. Last night I tried to update my firmware to the most recent one posted on the LaCie site, but it just isn't working out for me. I seem to be stuck at 2.0.7. I'll have to contact LaCie and find out what's up.
