Question about

Profile management and middle mouse button

I love this mouse. I've had two Razer Copperheads before this and the USB cable broke on both of them at the mouse connection. The G9 is superior to any Razer mouse and cheaper than most too. I've only had a couple problems with it so far.

The first is the profile management. Does anyone else find that the automatic profile switch only works around 60%-70% of the time? often i've got to open and close the profile editor manualy to get it to start responding and even then it doesnt always change.

The second's only minor and is that the middle mouse button is really stiff. i think it gets better if you're in frictionless mode but i'm not sure. Is this a universal problem or just me? Also if anyone else has had the same problem with it does it get better over time? I've had my mouse for a couple months now and it's still there.

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, the application detection feature isn't perfect, that's for sure. Sometimes I need to deselect an app and then reselect it for the detection to recognize it.

The middle button does feel stiffer than other Logitech mice, but I've hardly ever used it during the 1+ year that I've owned mine, so that might be the cause. I'd rather program macros to the right and left wheel tilt buttons than the actual middle button itself.

My biggest gripe is that it requires setpoint 5 unlike every other Logitech input device, which can all interface with setpoint 4.
