Question about
Problems displaying 1080p on an external monitor
I hook up my MacBook Pro to my HDTV using a DVI-VGA cable, and was able to use it as a monitor or second screen perfectly on 10.5. Since updating to 10.6, whenever I connect the TV to my Mac and select the maximum supported resolution, the screen looks like it's been shifted off centre to the right, leaving a black border down the left side, and not showing a portion of the right side of the desktop.
Any ideas how i can fix this? or is it a lil Apple bug? Thanks :)

You got to adjust that on your screen, not on your macbook.

yah, change the picture size on your display. I set mine to "Native" and it displayed perfectly.

Also some TVs require that you turn on the Overscan option in the OS X display settings. Hope that helps.
