Power Connector issues

My M35 finally died when I couldn't get it to keep a charge. The power connector became loose, and even though I bought a new connector and tried to solder it myself, I never got it to work properly.

I found this was a common issue with the M35 from various forums that helped me troubleshoot the issue.

Here are the instructions if you want to try this out for yourself.

This happened to me three times. One of them I had best buy fix because I had a warranty with them. They had to replace the whole motherboard. At first I didn't understand why, but whatever. It came back and it was fine.

The second time I contacted Toshiba because of the extended warranty and I had them fix it. I refused to go through the mail because of horrible stories.

The third time it happened. I opened it up and took a look at it myself. Not only did it have that problem, but I'm guessing it overheated and melted, ruining the motherboard. I can take a picture, it's still in pieces because there was no point in putting it back together. I already moved on to another Toshiba laptop. I could have bought another part for it, but seriously, this was going to happen again.

I really think Toshiba should get their hand slapped for this one. This was a major fail on their part. I'm kinda pissed about it still, but what can you do?

edit: Also, when you check ebay, a lot of people are selling the lappy for parts, but most of them have the same problem.
