RootzWiki and Android Police were both lucky enough to get what look to be legit shots of a phone running the next version of Android. Both sites feel 100% confident that they are not build.prop edits and that they are legit photos.

I think it's easy to see that elements of Honeycomb have been merged into this release. The one shot of the phone having an Apps|Widgets panel is exactly what Honeycomb did for adding things to home screens.
I'm also seeing what could be a revamped notification drawer in the picture from Android Police. The new home screen launcher also has a fourth button now that I'm hoping is either a quick toggle for recent apps or quick launch for favorite apps ala Circle Launcher.
I know a lot of people like holographic UI from Honeycomb but I wasn't really thrilled with all components of it. Mainly the home screens and how they transition, and the interface for adding in home screen short cuts. I hope it doesn't completely overtake the android UI.
Still way too early to say if this will be a huge change or just another UI overhaul. I'd like to see some additional stuff added to the OS to really make it a much better experience that doesn't require so much in the terms of 3rd party apps:
--More advanced notification drawer similar to the one in iOS5
--Ability to delete/move/mark as read emails from the notification drawer
--Widget scrolling API or something that allows for 3rd party widgets to get the ability to scroll without the need for a different launcher
--Ability to manage the number of home screens

Pictures of Ice Cream Sandwich have leaked. What are you thoughts? What would you like to see in ICS?

I would hope that the UI adapts to the device, so that when it is being run on a phone it recognizes the limitations of the screen size and adapts accordingly. I would be concerned if something like the holographic UI from Honeycomb became the standard UI for a handheld device.

Really hoping for:
1) improved battery management,
2) a rethink of of the clunky UI conventions Android currently uses ("hidden" menus behind menu button, refreshed forms treatment, more consistency) and
3) streamlining/de-emphasizing of some of endless options (why do I need to disable GPS or wifi when it's enabled as required?)
