Thanks Mullane; sorry, I am new at this. Some of the photos I take with my iphone4 ios 5.0.1 are not transferred to photostream. They appear only on camera roll. I wonder why? How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.

Do you have Photostream enabled on your phone?
Settings -> Photos -> Photo Steam On/Off switch

Yes, Photostream is on. It is only some photos that are not transferred. Most are. And it is not a question of too many photos.

Try turning it off and on again.
It sounds like a cliché but it actually does work a lot of the time.

Thanks. Will try. It still won't tell me why some photos are not transferred. For the moment without having changed anything, it works. Thanks a lot for your help. Will let you know after trying.

You will be able to delete photos out of your Photostream, in the new update.

Just read through your replies, and just some things to check:

Make sure you are logged into your Apple Store account in your device.
Make sure PhotoStream is activated on your device.
Note that PhotoStream (and iCloud in extension) only syncs via Wifi. www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html
